Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what we have actually verified, what we have not, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
What we check on every release
- Every page has exactly one main heading, and headings run in order.
- A skip link is the first thing you reach with the keyboard, and it is visible when focused.
- Every interactive control shows a clear focus outline that meets the non-text contrast minimum.
- Text and interface colour combinations are tested against WCAG AA automatically, in light and dark mode, every time we build.
- Status is never communicated by colour alone — there is always an icon and a word.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced and linked to the field they belong to.
- Pages are checked for horizontal overflow at 375, 768, 1280 and 1440 pixels wide.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels on touch devices.
- Animation respects your reduced-motion setting.
What we have not done yet
Saying this is more useful to you than claiming full conformance.
- A full audit with assistive technology by someone who uses it daily. Automated checks find a fraction of real barriers.
- Captions and transcripts — we have no video or audio yet, and they will have them when we do.
- A plain-language alternative for the longest policy pages.

If a page is stopping you donating, contact us and we will take the details by hand. Nobody should be blocked from giving because of our website.
