Become a Hot Point

A Hot Point is somewhere people can bring things all year round — a masjid, a school, a lobby, a shop. You collect; we handle the container, the signage and the pickups.

Why places do it

It gives your community somewhere to take things without a special trip, and it makes your building the place people associate with doing something useful. It costs you a corner of floor space and a few minutes a week.

Four ways to run one

A public drop-off point
Anyone can come in and leave something. Best for places people already visit.
A staffed collection point
Your team takes donations at a desk or counter during opening hours.
An unstaffed container
A secure container in a lobby or car park that we empty on a schedule.
A private collection point
Members, residents, employees or students only.

Apply

We look at every application properly — location, access and how busy you are all change what makes sense.

About your place

Two letters.

In plain words — “Fri 12–8pm, Sat 10–4”.

What will you collect?

Most Hot Points do best with clothing and shoes only — they are light, clean and always needed.

Space and pickups

Roughly.

A guess is fine.

The person our driver should ask for.
